Hand Spun Yarn - 80% Superwash Merino/20% Nylon

I spun up a whopping amount of this yarn for a personal project, a gift for a dear friend who is expecting in July. I finished a baby blanket, and a matching baby poncho, and still had this entire skein left to spare! Hoping to set it free into the world, and I hope it lands in just the right maker’s hands, who will turn it into something wonderful!

This 3ply sport weight yarn is a blend of beautiful greys and creams, peaches and turquoises, and gentle aquas. Big beach energy happening with this colour palette! You can expect long runs of colour, as they slowly shift into other shades as you project unfolds row by row. 

This skein weighs 133 grams, and is 342 yards in length, of 3 ply sport weight yarn, dyed onto 80% Superwash Merino/ 20% Nylon blend. A perfect choice for knitwear that doesn’t need too much TLC during every day washing and wearing. I always recommend handwashing in lukewarm warm water, and laying flat to dry. But with this fibre base, your garment will survive a spin in the washing machine. 

Hand spun yarn is special to work with, as it really does have a personality of it’s own, compared to commercially spun yarn. It is, by nature, imperfect, making your hand knits even more wonderful and unique!
