This incredible set of yarn is what fade dreams are made of!
Holding one strand of Squishy Sock Base and one strand of Mohair Halo Base is a wonderful way to play with colours, while creating a super luxurious and fluffy fabric!
The warm brown hues, dusty pinks, gentle mauves and speckles that burst into all kinds of fun colours, the possibilities to create something wonderfully unique are endless with a set like this!
Each skein of Squishy Sock Base comes to 437 yards, and each skein of Mohair Halo Base comes to 460 yards.
Mohair Halo Base: A delicate, lace weight yarn made up of 72% Superkid Mohair and 28% Mulberry Silk. Each skein is 50 grams and 460 yards, single ply construction. This yarn is lovely on it’s own, but is also amazing when held together with another yarn base. The fuzziness of the mohair creates a halo of colour within your project. Fibres in this base are sourced from South Africa. Hand wash only, lay flat to dry.
Squishy Sock Base: A soft and plump fingering weight yarn, made up of 80% Superwash Merino Wool and 20% Nylon. Each skien is 114 grams and 437 yards. It has an 8 ply makeup, giving it a substantial feel for a fingering weight yarn. A perfect base for any item calling for a classic fingering weight yarn. It is machine washable on delicate cycle, thanks to its Superwash
treatment. This is a reliable and practical choice for items like socks, shawls, baby items and other wearable garments.
The beauty of indie dyed yarns is that no two are identical, I recommend alternating skeins after each row for a more uniform look. It is a rare occurrence, and I do everything possible to avoid this, but there is always a chance of colour bleeding with the first wash. The photos used are chosen to best represent the true colourways, using natural, outdoor sunlight. I try my hardest to achieve consistency between dye lots.
