100 grams of Spinning Fibre - Untreated Merino Wool 22 Micron - Hand Dyed Combed Top

I'm pleased and proud to introduce spinning fibre to Hidden Pond Yarns!

This beautiful, hand dyed merino wool is ultra soft, smooth and buttery. Being an untreated wool, we need to be very gentle when washing and dyeing this product in roving form. Once it's spun into yarn, I recommend hand washing in cold water, with a gentle wool wash, and lay flat to dry. 

This combed top is a great choice for both beginner spinners, or for the more experienced. You can easily spin both fine yarns and thicker yarns with this fibre.  

This base is GREAT for felting, because it's so sensitive to the temperature of water. 

22 Microns - Staple Length 2 1/4"-4"

The colours of dye come out softer, dreamier, more muted and muddled, thanks to the natural state of the fibre. Colour bleeding in the first wash is normal, although I do everything possible to avoid this. 

The photo shown is a braid of approximately 200 grams. This product is sold in quantities of 100grams. I'll do my very best to send your quantity in one continuous piece, however there is a chance that you'll receive multiple lengths to make up the weight you've ordered. 

I try my very best to capture the most accurate photos to best represent the colours, using natural light. I do not keep any of the dye recipes for this product, each batch is a one of a kind creation. If you like what you see, grab the quantity you need while you can!
